As a Direct Sales Brand Ambassador that wanted to personally shy away from Social Media, I found myself  also pulling away from my business. This was because much of the industry training tells us a thriving business can not survive unless we have a strong social media presence. 

But I also knew the opposite to be true when I was on the receiving end of a party.  I personally didn’t want time wasters, silly games or daily distractions from the real reason I was in a Party Group. (To support my friend with a purchase.)  Everything else was a time waster for me, and I often became so distracted that I failed to make it to the finish line with an order.

I also knew when invited into a Facebook Party/Group that I would not respond to massive invitations and only accepted when personally invited into a small group by the hostess.   Furthermore, I didn’t want to be committed for a week, or have to follow each post to learn about the company or featured products. I  wanted the “meat” of the party on day one so I could browse, support my friend by shopping or booking, and then move on with my life.

This meant social media was often hurting hostesses and consultants more than it was helping, and I wanted a solution.
